New with More Parts Mr Carlson’s MK2 Super Probe From YouTube 2 PCB DIY SMD Kit

Mr Carlson’s Super ProbeDIY PCB Assembly Kit (Version MK2) Two SMD PCBs with More Parts & Spares (Speaker, Battery, Probe & Amp Cases Not Included!)As buyer feedback attests, this is an advanced skill build. As seen on YouTube and commented on on many other sites, Paul Carlson designed a very useful non-contact very high gain electronic probe for investigating just about any kind of electrical signal from audio to RF. The design is well proven and open-sourced. There are also several open-source PCB designs for the probe and amplifier, but most of them are SMD designs. This is likely the primary barrier to building a one-off implementation of this design. To address this, we used an open-source version of the PCB design by Yannick99 at www.instructables.com. These 2 PCBs are well designed and reliable, and used in many DIY probes. The KitThis kit includes the main PCBs, all SMD parts and most of the support parts. There are other components needed to construct a complete probe and amplifier. The kit includes all of the through-hole and SMD components to assemble the PCBs as well as the 2 pots (with knobs) used in the amplifier and a stereo 3.5mm jack & plug, power switch & power LED. It DOES NOT include cases, packaging, wire, screws, probe-tips, batteries, speaker, or anything else that might be needed to construct a complete SuperProbe. (Essentially everything within the dotted boxes on the included schematics is in the kit!) The AssemblyWhile there are a few through-hole & panel mounted components, all of the remaining parts are 0805/1206 SMD parts. Soldering such components requires specific equipment, soldering tools, solder, tweezers, optics, skill and patience. Follow the included instructions in detail. Schematic details are included and are identical to the original design. Some of the listing photos show a particular implementation in a very compact package. Such compactness is not necessary, but demonstrates what can be achieved. ADVANTEST TEKTRONIX (JAPAN) Model D3286 Digital Transmission Tester 150 Mbps – 12GB/S Error Rate Detector Part Number: D3286 Description: The D3286 digital transmission tester offers 12GB/s error rate detector for 150 Mbps SDH/SONET frame and ATM cell based networks. Feature Summary – SDH/SONET frame synchronization suitable for system evaluation- Error detection with area specification effective for SDH frame and ATM cell measurement- Burst data measurement effective for loop-back test- Auto search function which adjusts the most appropriate timing and voltage- Monitor output of data and clock- FD drive for storing measurement results and setup data- GUI environment realizing easy and legible operating environment.
